The Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry, John Mutorwa, says the opening of a new branch for Agra, a popular agricultural retailer, at Rundu will reduce the long distances travelled by farmers in Kavango.

“There is no doubt this branch will enable the people of the Kavango regions and Zambezi to partake in the agriculture value chain, and I have been informed that this branch has created 15 permanent jobs for our people, which will all help to improve the socio-economic development of this nation,” Mutorwa added.

By establishing the new branch Agra aims to reach out to all communities by providing nationwide services and comprehensive product ranges, including building materials, hardware, water equipment, fertilisers, and household and consumer goods.

In opening the new branch Agra partnered with Rundu businessman Leevi Hungamo, who is also the permanent secretary at the National Planning Commission.
