WINDHOEK – Agra celebrated the re-opening of their retail branch in Opuwo which has received a major upgrade and added developments, at an evening function for invited guests on November 26 at the Opuwo Country Lodge.
This was followed by a special client’s day on November 27 and it will continue with a big promotion with lots of products on special offer until December 13.
The mayor of Opuwo, Councillor Tuarungua Kavari, was the guest speaker at the opening function. He thanked Agra for positioning themselves to cater for Opuwo, the region and beyond. He mentioned that the Opuwo Town Council is driving a concerted effort to provide an environment conducive to current and future investors.

Agra’s General Manager: Retail and Wholesale, Arnold Klein, expressed Agra’s appreciation for the forces that work together for Agra’s growth: the peace and stability that Namibia offers; Agra’s clients and staff and the fact that Agra is truly Namibian. He further thanked the Opuwo Town Council for being accommodative in the negotiations to purchase the erf of 4 500m² for the development.
“Agra has confidence in the growth of this area of the country and our business in Opuwo – that is why we are confident that this investment in our service facilities was the right decision and another step in our endeavours to fulfil our purpose which is to create prosperity and improve quality of life,” said Klein.
On the area purchased, a new building of about 1200m² was constructed, adjacent to the existing building, to host the Agra retail branch and offices. Other developments include a sheltered area for patrons and an interlocked forecourt.
