Quite a number of new appointments and promotions have been made in the arts programme of the Ministry of Culture.

The present Rector at the College of the Arts, Ervast Mtota, has been appointed Deputy Director of arts after a few years at the helm of this growing institutional arts body.

The former head of Drama at COTA, Lucky Pieters, was appointed earlier as the Head of the National Extension Programme in Katutura.

Gretta Nashongo has been appointed Arts education officer responsible for industry development, research and marketing in the Ministry of Culture.

Samuel Amunkete has been appointed in the post of Arts education officer responsible for schools and community liaison.

At the Katutura Community Arts Centre, Simson Hoabeb has been appointed video camera and lights lecturer in the Media Arts Technology Studies Department.

According to Lucky Pieters, David Ndjavera has been appointed at the NAEP as community theatre developer, working in secondary schools.
