WINDHOEK-Although the turnout was a bit disappointing, artists  at the Kwaito Session show at the Theatre School last Saturday, did their best to make the show happens.

Only 50 people among them artists, were treated to an entertainment extravaganza by local Kwaito acts. New kids, D Square, Oga and Atukatuka started warming up the show just by sunset  with D Square performing   his heat song, Yaandj’iiyela, descending the stage with the song Milky Chocolate. Although one of the members of Atukatuka was not available, on the night the group easily equipped themselves, especially thrilling revellers with the song, Keshe Shimwe. While the main performers were getting ready, Bantu ascended the stage performing the song Uukolokoshi, followed by the Tronix dancing group, and boy, they did not disappoint!

About ten O’clock was the big moment all may have been waiting for with Bones, arguably the best performer of the night, raising the curtain of the premier league performers followed by Waka from Omlilo Records who performed his new gospel song, Omwa, from his upcoming album. Crazy Dogg was second last and Fishman closed the show with old and new songs.

The MC of the night was Elago Shitaatala a TV Production student at College of the Arts (COTA). Fessy from Omulunga Radio was the Dj of the night.“[At] the next show which is on August 30, we will be inviting artists such as Mappz, Sunny Boy, Mawela Brigade, Tulisan and Tswazis. The show will be hosted every month,” says Luktos Shikongo, the organiser of the event.
