Oshakati High Court Judge Eduard Kesslau convicted a security guard of murdering his girlfriend over suspect text messages.

A man from northern Namibia who was convicted in August 2022 of killing the mother of his child by hitting her with a brick several times on the head, has been allowed by the High Court to appeal his convictions in the Supreme Court.

Well-known police chief inspector, Christina van Dunem DaFonsech Shikongo was dealt a blow by the High Court on Friday when she lost a case in which she was fighting to keep a piece of land that she inherited after her father’s passing. 

The Namibian Police in the Oshana region promoted 42 members to the ranks of chief inspector, senior inspector and inspector, effective 1 February 2024.
