SWAKOPMUND – Coastal-based Christian hip hop artist, Ay4 recently released his latest single titled ‘All I Need’.
The song was released on 28 December and is available on all streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer.
The rapper, real name Adolf Kaure, dedicated the song to his wife, Melba Kaure, as a gift after the pair celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary on that day.
“After the recording of the song, I looked up to the heavens and realised that the song is bigger than just a gift for our matrimony.” “I realised that it could serve to inspire both single and married people to seek a Godly relationship which represents the relationship Christ has with the church, because Jesus loves the church the same way he loves his own body and that unconditional, selfless and righteous love is what I strive for when it comes to loving my wife,” he said.
The instrumental for the song was created by Namibia Annual Music Awards 2016 Producer of the Year, Araffath Muhuure.
“It is the most sentimental song which I have written thus far because it celebrates our love; a love that was provided to us by the Lord and one that glorifies him,” Ay4 added.
Ay4’s track features a sibling duo from Arandis known as Zion, who has mesmerised the music scene at the coast for the last few years.
Siblings, Wondy and Holly Naobes, provide a harmonic melody for the song’s chorus, produced by Petrus ‘Scava’ Kipit in Arandis. “I met Zion in Swakopmund after they performed at an event. After hearing them sing, I was blown away because I never heard anything similar.”
“With time we formed a musical connection and hit it off in the studio,” he explained.
The enigmatic rapper hinted there is a likelihood for visuals to be provided for the track. The lyricist is also hard at work with his second body of work, which is set to reach its conclusion soon.
Ay4’s debut body of work, which is titled ‘For His Glory’ was released in 2020. The EP features classics like ‘Dreams’ and ‘Champion’. Ay4 can be found on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube under the username @ay4_namibia. For bookings, he can be reached at ay4.namibia@gmail.com.
