The popular and much anticipated Bank Windhoek Motor Show launched at a function held at the Old Wheelers Club, was well attended by leading motor dealers and franchise representatives.

Now in its eighth year, the Bank Windhoek Motor Show has proven to be a highlight on the motoring calendar in Namibia and continues to grow in popularity every year.

The Motor Show is part of the Republikein Namibia Tourism Expo that will take place from 4 to7 June at the Windhoek Show Grounds. Combining the Motor Show with the Tourism Expo gives the tourism industry and the motor vehicle sales industry a platform to network and collaborate, since both industries have inter-dependencies.

The dealerships that are participating in the Motor Show are Harley Davidson, Indongo Toyota, Spes Bona Motor Company, Auas Delta, Associated Motor Holdings Namibia, M&Z Motors, M&Z Commercial, Pupkewitz Motors, African Commercial Vehicles, Autohaus Windhoek, Novel Motor Company, Zimmermann Garage and CAM Namibia/Geely.

Bank Windhoek announced special financing options for the 2014 Motor Show at the launch.  With the exciting financing options offered to potential buyers at the Motor Show, Bank Windhoek once again makes it easier for clients to afford their dream car and to choose the financing option that best suits their needs.

The special financing options that buyers can choose from for the duration of the Motor Show are:

  • Successful applicants can finance their vehicles at an interest rate of prime less 1%.
  • Buyers can choose to finance their vehicles, of more than N$100 000, over an extended period of 72 months. Clients who choose this option will however not qualify for the interest rate of prime less 1%.
  • Financing of vehicles above the price range of N$250 000 can also qualify for various residual value payment options (balloon payments).

Bank Windhoek also announced an exciting competition whereby one lucky client stands the chance to pay 0% interest if he/she successfully applies for vehicle financing, with the interest value not exceeding N$100 000.

What makes buying a vehicle at the Bank Windhoek Motor Show even more appealing in 2014 is that the first 200 clients, who finance their new vehicle with Bank Windhoek during the Motor Show, will receive a free weekend for two persons at any Gondwana Lodge in Namibia, bed and breakfast included.

Speaking at the launch, the Executive Officer: Retail Banking, Chris Matthee said: “With these financing options available at the Motor Show and the added value of a free weekend at any Gondwana lodge, we believe that there is no reason for buyers not to relieve that ‘new car itch’ and buy that new car of their dreams.”

Chris added: “Not only does the motor vehicle industry benefit from the platform that the Bank Windhoek and Republikein Motor Show offers and the unique selling opportunity it presents, but it also demonstrates Bank Windhoek’s commitment to building and strengthening our relationship with all stakeholders in the motor vehicle industry.”

Bank Windhoek’s Vehicle and Asset Finance Team will be on hand at their office on the Windhoek Show grounds to assist clients with their loan applications.
