Home Sports Bank Windhoek Schools Netball League kicks off

Windhoek

Twenty-one teams would take part in this year’s annual Bank Windhoek Schools Netball Super League, which commenced last Saturday in Swakopmund, Bank Windhoek announced on Monday.

The league, which was launched on Monday in Namibia’s metropolis, continues to grow every year following its inception three years ago when only 10 school teams took part.

This year, nine teams will compete in the Under-17 league, while 12 teams will compete for the championship title in the Under-19 league.
The super league aims to develop and promote netball at school level, by providing a platform for senior netball teams in schools to participate in a competitive league.

This year, the teams stand to win netball equipment valued at N$50 000. Bank Windhoek is also giving every player, coach and official of the participating schools a goody bag containing super league branded items that they can use for the duration of the league. Teams will also receive branded super league balls.
