Rehoboth
The Namibia Bass Angling Association (NBAA) hosted its third annual bass fishing competition at Lake Oanob on the outskirts of Rehoboth on Saturday.
The Bank Windhoek-sponsored event got underway with a medal handover ceremony for the previous competition hosted last month and with much enthusiasm, the competition kicked off at 07h00 in the morning with a noticeable change in season.
It took skill and patience for each and every angler to commit to the long competition hours without any action in the early morning. In past years, the April/May tourneys were some of the most enjoyed events, as the bigger fish started to feed for the approaching winter season.
However, this year it is a whole new ball game with new sets of rules, while passion for the sport, commitment and durability plays a major role with every angler.
