The Bible is a source of absolute divine authority and informs us of God’s mind and will for our lives (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
The Bible is the single most important book ever written. It is an eyewitness account of historical events of such magnitude that they have literally shaped the world in which we live. Without this book the western world and a good deal of the eastern world would be completely different if the events of this book had never occurred.
The Bible was the first book ever put to the printing press by the inventor, Johannes Gutenberg, and is available in every corner of the globe today, even where it is illegal to own or read it. It is available in electronic format and on CD, as well. You can find it on the internet for free.
The Bible consists of more than just one book, it’s a whole library of 66 books written by approximately 40 writers. It’s divided into the Old Testament with 39 books and the New Testament with 27 books. Testament means covenant – refering to the covenant God made with mankind. To make research and reference easier, the books of the Bible were later divided into chapters and the chapters into verses.
The Bible can help us to see beyond the attractive bait to the painful hook in sinful temptations, so that we can learn from others’ mistakes, rather than making them ourselves. The Bible is not merely for reading, it is a book worth studying, so that its lessons can be applied.
The Bible can help us. Even if we know nothing about God, we will know a great deal about God after reading it.
The Bible is widely considered to be the most important book in the world. Simply because it’s God’s word, when we read the Bible, we read a message from God Himself, which can be incredibly useful in our daily lives.
It can teach us to read a life full of purpose and sense; a life that is pleasing to our Father in heaven; it teaches us the truth and the importance of faith. Let us study more about Bible to know more about our Father who is in heaven. Amen!
