The head coach of the Brave Warriors, Collin Benjamin, reacted to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations’ (Afcon) qualifier draw, describing it as a tough challenge.

The draw, held yesterday in Johannesburg, South Africa, has placed Namibia in Group J, alongside five-time champions Cameroon, Kenya and Zimbabwe.

Currently engaged in the Cosafa Cup tournament where Namibia is set to play this afternoon, Benjamin highlighted the challenges of facing strong teams and playing in hostile environments.

“We will face hostile away games in Yaoundé, Nairobi, and Harare,” he noted. “Everything should be precise on and off the field to overcome obstacles. We are the Brave Warriors, and we are looking for our chance,” he said.

Namibia is among the 48 nations divided into 12 groups of four for the Afcon qualifiers. The first round of matches, spanning matchdays one and two, will occur between 2 to 10 September.
