WINDHOEK – An alleged thief who appears to love biltong and droëwors will get his day in court next year after state prosecutor George Mhoney indicated to Magistrate Ingrid Unengu that the investigations are completed and the State is ready.
Sylvanus Egodhi is accused of stealing Chillie Bites worth N$927.50, Game WHL Biltong worth N$200.20, Homemade Beef Biltong valued at N$729.80, Beef Droëwors worth 162.30 and Game Droëwors valued at N$149.10 from Pick n Pay in Eros.
It is alleged that he stole the luxury food worth a combined N$2078.50 on August 27, the same day he was arrested. During his first appearance Egodhi pleaded not guilty and said he would conduct his own defence. He was released on N$800 bail and the matter was remanded to February 03 next year for his trial to start.
