WINDHOEK – Namibia’s rugby XV, the Welwitschias, yet again face another uphill battle when they confront South African outfit Blue Bulls for their Vodacom Cup clash at the Hage Geingob Stadium in Windhoek at 19h00.

Having already lost their first three opening fixtures against Golden Lions, Pumas and Griffons, the Welwitschias are expected to be in top shape and well prepared to deal with the strong and speedy visiting South Africans.

But judging by their pedestrian performance in their last encounters, the Namibian team, which mostly consists of inexperienced youngsters, will have to deliver an extraordinary performance in order to pull off a positive result.

And pulling off an extraordinary performance would require the Welwitschias to be well-disciplined, well-organised and above all they would need to play as a team without losing track of their game plan. But closely reading into their last match against the Griffons, the Namibian youngsters seem to have learnt valuable lessons from their experienced opponents.

The full squad is as follows:
Quintin Esterhuizen, DG Wiese, Shaun Du Preez, Ulrich Engels, Nico Esterhuyse, Tomashau Forbes, Thinus Du Plessis, Zana Botes, Eneil Buitendag, Shaun Kaizemi, Tuna Amutenya, Darryl De La Harpe, Johan Tromp, Russell van Wyk, Justin Nel.

Replacements:
Rathony Bekker, Jaco Engels, Morton van Kradenburg, Max Katjijeko, Arthur Bouwer, Daniel Arries and Henrique Olivier.
