Namibian communal and emerging small stock farmers came out in big numbers to support the second combined production auction of Karl and Karbe Persendt, held last Wednesday evening at the Namboer Auction pens in Windhoek.
Fifteen Boer Goat rams, 20 Boer Goat ewes and 15 Van Rooy rams and 15 Van Rooy ewes created fierce bidding and Vipua Trading paid the highest price of the evening for a Boer Goat ram, forking out N$16 000 for the magnificent animal. The highest price paid for a Van Rooy ram was N$9 000 and the highest price for a Van Rooy ewe was N$8 500. The highest price paid for a Veldmaster ram was N$5 000, and the highest price for an ewe was N$2 000. The highest price paid for a Boer Goat ewe was N$3 500.
