WINDHOEK – Medical student Brumhilda Ochs was crowned Miss Namibia 2014 at a glittering ceremony held at the Windhoek Country Club on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old who hails from Usakos is a student at the University of Namibia and was one of the crowd favourites.
Ochs wowed the judges with her beauty, charisma and intelligence. She received her crown from Miss Namibia 2013, Paulina Malulu.
The first princess is Bernedine Kubersky from Mariental and second princess is Anienke Karsten from Keetmanshoop.
Karsten was also voted as Miss Photogenic, Nicoleen Fouche was voted as Miss Congeniality and Kledura Imalwa was the Public’s Choice.
The guests and viewers at home were entertained by cultural group Bullet Ya-Kaoko and songbird Freeda.
Ochs will represent the country at the Miss World 2014 to take place on 14 December in London, England.
