The Namibian Annual Music Awards (NAMAs) are calling on music industry experts to submit their names and motivation letters to become members of the awards steering committee. The committee is responsible for screening of entries received, making sure entries comply with the said rules, and also ensuring the entries are submitted in the correct category. The aim of this process – known as vetting – is to ensure that each entry is eligible and not at risk of disqualification later. The steering committee of the specific award will perform this function. Submissions are to be delivered to the MTC and NBC offices. Artists should note that entries for the 2016 edition of the NAMAs are now closed. In this file photo, artist Tunakie performs during the 2014 NAMAs at Swakopmund.
