A man, who was convicted in the Oshakati High Court for stabbing his wife 13 times to death in 2013, has been sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Buta Epamba (42) was convicted on a charge of murder read with the provisions of the Combating of Domestic Violence Act for the death of his wife Isabel Epamba (34) in Rundu on 1 September 2013.

Nurses fined N$2 000 for defying booze ban
Three nurses, who were arrested in the wee hours of Sunday for allegedly consuming alcohol on the premises of the Katima Mulilo state hospital in an apparent breach of the Coronavirus regulations, have each paid a fine of N$2 000. The police said the three nurses – a female and two men – were having fun at the hospital nurses’ home when police caught them. The trio is Mufalo Mwilima (28), John Netha (32) and 28-year-old Ruth Mundia.
Oshikoto official granted bail of N$1 500
OMUTHIYA – A control administrator in the office of the Oshikoto governor, who is accused of misusing government vehicles, was released on bail of N$1 500 in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court.
