Suspected armed robber shot dead
OMUTHIYA – One of the suspected armed robbers who robbed a man of his neckless and bracelet worth N$150 000 at local bar in Tsumeb was discovered dead in a Volkswagen Golf 5 near Shell service station in Otavi.
N$5 million heroin mule gets convicted
Former Air Namibia flight crew member, who was allegedly attempting to smuggle N$5 million worth of heroin from Namibia to Germany in 2016, was convicted yesterday in the Windhoek Regional Court.
Nigerian arrested at border with N$250 000
A 47-year-old Nigerian man was arrested in connection with R250 000 found in his possession at Noordoewer border post last week. He was arrested during a routine search after which the undeclared amount was found on him.
High Court sets aside conviction for sex offender

Man flees after ‘sexually assaulting’ puppy to death
A five and half month puppy allegedly died after it was sexually assaulted by a man, a neighbour, in the early hours of Friday morning in Windhoek. The man has since fled from his house following the incident.
Foreign skipper appears for illegal fishing
WALVIS BAY – A vessel captain Vitaly Dukach was granted bail of N$100 000 last week when he made a first appearance in the Walvis Bay Magistrate’s Court for illegal fishing.
