A 33-year-old lower primary school teacher from the Supo Junior Primary School in the Bunya circuit of Kavango West was arrested on Saturday after she was reported for allegedly practising corporal punishment at the school.

Two brothers who were recently arrested on charges of trafficking in persons and contravention of the Labour Act, were granted bail on Tuesday at Kahenge periodic court in Kavango West. The accused, Vaatakana Tjindunda (45) and Tjipirandi Tjindunda (63) were granted bail of N$6 000 each. 

 An application in which an alleged rival faction in Swanu wanted to derail a case brought against them by the current leadership failed in the High Court yesterday.
