KEETMANSHOOP - The Landless Peoples’ Movement (LPM) in a recent press statement compared the government’s decision to give marketing incentives to farmers who intend to destock by selling their livestock due to the prevailing drought “to resuscitating an already dead person”.

SWAKOPMUND - The new container terminal constructed at a cost of N$4 billion at Walvis Bay  will be commissioned within three months. Namport upon inquiry yesterday told New Era the new container terminal is currently 96 percent complete with only the final touches being added to the mega project.

RUNDU – Shadikongoro government irrigation project is about to reap what it sowed. According to its manager Daniel Marais the project expects to soon harvest about 3 500 tonnes of maize that they planted on  January 23.
