WINDHOEK - The Ambassador of the United States of America to Namibia, Lisa Johnson recently inspired young women to realise their full potential through the Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-Free Mentored and Safe (Dreams) project, an evidence-based programme intended to reduce new HIV infections among teens and young women. 

WINDHOEK - A 45-year-old man was arrested after he stabbed two people, killing one and injuring the other over N$10.  The incident happened on Sunday early morning at Sonderwater Rehoboth.  Police spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi confirmed the suspect stabbed the deceased on the left side of the chest with a knife and the victim died on the spot.  

WINDHOEK - two men raped a 34-year-old woman on her way home from a house where she was drinking Tombo in Mariental on Saturday evening.  The incident happened at Aimablaagte location at about 22h50. 

EKAMBA - An 18-year-old man died on the spot after he was fatally stabbed with a knife at Ekamba village on the outskirts of Oshakati. 

WINDHOEK - State Advocate Simba Nduna yesterday asked Windhoek High Court Judge Nate Ndauendapo to convict former magistrate Melaney Theron on 17 charges of misconduct while she was still a magistrate at the Oshakati Magistrate’s Court. 

RUNDU - A Namibian who originates from Zimbabwe Nevers Chirimugaha,51 was on Friday denied bail when he made a routine court appearance in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on three counts, a charge of fraud, theft by false pretence, forgery and uttering a forged instrument.
