Namibia scoops two wins at startup awards

WINDHOEK - Out of the 15 categories, Namibia brought home two awards from the recent Southern Africa Startup Awards (SASAwards), which was held for the first time to celebrate and recognise the spirit of innovation and achievement in the startup ecosystem in the SADC region. SASA Namibia was represented by 11 regional winners from nine startups at the SASAwards grand finale that took place on 21 and 22 November 2018 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Energy 100fm launches video in studio

WINDHOEK - Energy 100 FM on Friday launched its own Live-video-in-studio and outside-broadcasting TV2 Namibia channel. This is a first for a Namibian radio station to follow in the footsteps of its overseas counterparts.

Kandjimi re-elected as Nkurenkuru mayor

NKURENKURU - Erastus Sitentu Kandjimi was last Friday re-elected as mayor of Nkurenkuru in Kavango West. He has served as mayor of Nkurenkuru since taking over the office from the founding mayor of the town, Heikki Ausiku in 2010.
