Former senior MICT employee Simasiku dies

KATIMA MULILO – A former Chief Information Officer in the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) Fredrick Simasiku passed on at the age of 68 in a Windhoek Hospital on Saturday after a long illness, several sources confirmed his death.

Oceana Group invests N$2.9m  to retain jobs

Pokolo allegedly disappears with N$565 000

WINDHOEK - A case of theft has been opened against a former executive of a Lüderitz fishing company after he allegedly disappeared with N$565 000 that he was supposed to pay for a consignment of two trucks of fish destined for Zambia. The money was to be paid through a middleman.

Venaani ‘willing to serve’ Damaras

Domestic violence appeal dismissed

WINDHOEK - Two judges of the northern division at Oshakati High Court dismissed an appeal against a sentence of 30 months’ imprisonment on a conviction of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm read with the provisions of the Domestic Violence Act. The appeal was heard on October 9 already and the judgment given, but the reasons were only released last week.
