As Namibia marked its 34th year of independence, the nation reflects on its remarkable journey since gaining freedom from colonial rule in 1990. 

Every country has a history to tell, preserve, and pass on to generations to come. And so is the Namibian history of independence, which was pursued through the barrel of the gun as well as by diplomatic means.
