Rundu maternity ward still incomplete

RUNDU - In May 2014, construction of the new maternity ward at the Rundu Intermediate Hospital was started with the aim of improving maternity services in the Kavango East Region. But, four years later, the construction is yet to be finalised and this is due to delays resulting from a dispute between the Ministry of Health and Social Services and the contractor, according to the Permanent Secretary in the health ministry, Ben Nangombe.

Long wait frustrate patients at Luderitz

LÜDERITZ - More than 60 patients who sought medical attention at the Lüderitz Clinic yesterday morning expressed dissatisfaction that they had to wait for more than one hour for the administration clerk to pay for their health passport (hospital card) fee, before being attended to by the nurses at the facility.

Man shoots ex-girlfriend, turns gun on himself

WINDHOEK  - As Namibia and the rest of the world marked the end of the 16 days of activism campaign against Gender-Based Violence (GBV) on Monday, a 27-year-old woman tragically lost her life on the same day at the hands of her ex-boyfriend who later turned the gun on himself instantly taking his life.
