Opinion – What if both sides are right, but the impasse persists?

We are informed that the well documented standoff between the Namibia Football Association (NFA) and the Namibia Premier League (NPL) has its origin in the latter’s disregard of the Fifa Normalisation Committee’s directive not to relegate the three teams that ended at the foot of the country’s topflight football league for the 2018/19 season.

Sport court gives NFA 20 days as NPL fights on

The expelled Namibia Premier League (NPL) continues to fire missiles from both ends of the battlefield, as the league at one end is engaged in protracted talks with the Namibia Sports Commission (NSC) over a licence to go fully professional and at the other end, it is busy bolstering its case filed with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Cas) against the Namibia Football Association (NFA).

My candid view – The misplaced thinking of Fifa

With very keen interest, I have been following the dialogue between sports minister Agnes Tjongarero and Fifa secretary general Fatma Samoura and what has particularly grabbed my attention is Fifa’s unfathomable old-fashioned and equally worrisome one-way style of dialogue.
