WINDHOEK-Namibian young singer, Immanuel “Chika” Kamati, has been chosen as an Ambassador of the newly established library in Oshakati, known as Oshana Regional Study and Resources Centre (ORSRC).

Chika has been appointed to encourage and motivate the young ones to stay focus and study hard for their future, through his music. His first responsibility is to compose a song before June that talks about the library in general. The song will be played at the official opening of the ORSRC in July by the Founding Father of the Namibian nation, Sam Nujoma. “I am very excited and feel honoured to be given a chance like this. This shows that our talent as young entertainers is recognised worldwide,” he says.

His second responsibility will begin next month when he will be visiting northern places such as Etango Complex in Oshakati, Oshana Mall in Ongwediva, Gwashamba Mall in Ondangwa, as well as Ompundja and Onamutayi Primary School, to spearhead the message of the library.
