Home Archived Close call in Bank Windhoek National Volleyball League, heading to second round

WINDHOEK – Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club (KNVC), SKW and Revivals Volleyball Club (RVC) put on spectacular performances during last weekend’s Bank Windhoek National Volleyball Ladies League, winning all their matches in straight sets against their opponents.

The police ladies from the Khomas Region beat NDF in the day’s opening match in all three sets, eventually winning the match 3:0. They also won all three sets in their match against DTS, winning 3:0. SKW battled it out with Oshikoto Nampol Volleyball Club (ONVC) and Eleven Warriors (EWVC), and easily defeated both teams in straight sets, winning the matches 3:0 each. The ladies from Katutura, RVC, defeated the Unam girls in straight sets, as well as DTS. In other matches, Polytechnic of Namibia defeated EWVC in straight sets 3:0, but lost in straight sets to ONVC. Unam encountered the tough NDF team in a thrilling match filled with sharp attacks and defences. The NDF ladies won the first set, but Unam increased their momentum to win the second set. However, the NDF team proved too tough for the students, and finally won the third set and the match 3:1. SKW now hold the second position on the log standing, while RVC hold the third position, followed by KNVC in fourth position. NDF still leads the log standing. The four leading teams are following each other with only one point difference. This promises an interesting second round next week, Saturday.
