Renowned entertainer and advocate for women’s empowerment, Priscilla Apollus, known as Priscilla the Dessert Queen, has organised a Colour Picnic for women tomorrow at Avani Hotel in the capital.
Against the backdrop of Windhoek’s scenic beauty,
attendees will bask in a day of empowerment, relaxation, and inspiration. Emphasising the importance of female camaraderie and support, Apollus said: “The idea was to have a colourful picnic where we come together as women to celebrate the gift of life and our womanhood”.
The day’s agenda will be full of activities designed to ignite the spirit and uplift the soul. Attendees can anticipate a nurturing environment conducive to unwinding, rejuvenating, and engaging in meaningful conversations. A lineup of speakers will delve into topics such as finances, health, survival, forgiveness, spirituality, and entrepreneurship, providing attendees with valuable insights and inspiration. In collaboration with the Cancer Association of Namibia, awareness sessions on cervical and breast cancer will be offered, underlining the significance of self-care and health advocacy among women. Apollus will grace the stage, delivering soulful and inspirational melodies, setting the perfect tone for a truly unforgettable gathering.
“This event is only for women because we have been through so many obstacles and traumas. We pour love, affection, and comfort until there is nothing left in our basket. It’s time to refill our cups and prioritise self-care.”
She aims to make this an annual affair and hopes it will blossom into a grand tradition that fosters self-love and unity among women.
