Committed Cops Recovered my Stolen Car

Home Archived Committed Cops Recovered my Stolen Car

Editor

I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the police officers in Ohangwena Region and their counterparts in neighbouring Angola for their swift response, which led to the recovery of my car after it was stolen.

Just before midnight on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 I heard a suspicious movement in my yard. I looked out and saw two people pushing my car towards the main gate. Before I took any precautionary measures, they started the car and drove away. Within a few minutes I reported the case to Eenhana Police Station that my car is stolen.

Due to their quick and professional response, the car was recovered and two suspects brought to book within two hours.

Therefore credit should be given were it is due.

Secondly, I would like to give special thanks to my neighbours for their support and Sergeant Shinana for using her own credit and private time to let the police officers aware of what was happening in the town and not just looking after her properties but having interest of her neighbours and community at heart.

I believe responses like this one can change our communities’ attitudes towards our police officers.

Thank you for performing your job with commitment, dedication professionalism. Now we can sleep with peace of mind, knowing that criminals will be defeated in Ohangwena Region.
