WINDHOEK – The Karas Region Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty after five cattle and a horse were shot dead near Tses.
The suspected case of animal cruelty occurred along the B-1 main road 28 km north of Tses.
The incident happened on Thursday 13 February, and it it was reported the animals were grazing alongside the road when they were shot dead.
The incident was initially reported to the Hardap Regional Council and “was reported late to the Tses police after realising the incident occurred only a few meters within the //Karas borders” according to the source.
TransNamib employees who were working in the area at the time of the cruel event reported that they heard gunshots and they only saw a Red Chevrolet Cruze in the area at the time of the incident. Police investigations continue.
