Days of our lives

Every one of us has that moment to never forget in life. Mine started years back when I was a young man during the seasons of my growing. I always had something wonderful to offer.

Life is about opportunity and if a person is not getting any of it, life gets a whole different meaning. When I was young, I was living a life of no worries because you know somebody else is busy stressing over your needs. I remember those times when all I could do is just run around and play with my fellow mates, spending day and night telling stories, running around laughing about everything and anybody, until finally, all those memories became an old adventure. Now the time has passed and a lot has happened that had brought me to where I am today. Who would have thought that after all the trouble, pain betrayal tears and disappointment, I would be confident about today?

I guess we should all embrace the fact that life is about growing. It’s about the evolution of nature over time and all its gifts but at the end of it all, I am of the opinion that unless one is not born into a situation where your parents have money and you have a lot of opportunities, everything is going to be tough. Getting to where you want to be in life will be a very tough and rough road, but if you are born in success, all you should do is follow through and you will remain successful. But while we are still in our youthful years, we have to manage everything that life presents to us and keep in mind that everything we do and the decisions we make is going to have a lot of effect on us. We need to prepare for the different struggles every day because they will always be there. Remember, “every day is a gift and tomorrow is a mystery”, as a wise man once said. It should also be mentioned that many do not get to see the sun rise. Every day is a day to remember that we are dying. So, let’s use every day wisely and stop complaining, but try to do more with the time that we have left.

I would love to quote and leave you with the words of the late Robin Williams who said: “There shall come a time in life where we all try and remember the good times, and we so much try and forget the bad times and we find ourselves thinking about the future, about what we are going to do or where are we going to be in a few years’ time, but we should not worry too much because none of us has very long on this earth. Whatever legacy we are going to make, let’s live that legacy today”.
