De Duine Secondary School took the lead in the Under-17 log standings of the Bank Windhoek Schools Netball Super League, after winning all their matches last weekend.

The girls from Walvis Bay, who have consistently played at their level best throughout the tourney so far, defeated Edugate Academy by 32 goals to 12, Windhoek Afrikaans Private School (27 – 11) and Windhoek High School (28 – 16).

Windhoek Gymnasium is in second place after beating Edugate Academy 23 – 17 and Elnatan Private School by an impressive 37 – 9.

Despite losing to Windhoek Gymnasium and De Duine Secondary School, the girls from Edugate Academy still managed to clinch third spot after securing a win against Dr Lemmer High School. The score was 28 – 13.

Tsumeb Gymnasium also impressed, winning 23 – 15 against Dr Lemmer High School and 24 – 14 against MK Gertze Secondary School. They however suffered a 20 – 25 defeat against Windhoek High School.

In the Under-19 League, Elnatan Private School took record goal scoring to a new level in the league, after smashing Concordia College 62 –31 and De Duine Secondary School 61 – 10.

Mokganedi Thlabanello High School recorded their first win this year, defeating Otjiwarongo Secondary School 44 – 26, and Edugate Academy 52 – 33.

It was a good weekend for Agri-College, after securing wins against De Duine Secondary Schoo (38 – 32) and Concordia College (49 – 31).

The Under-19 girls of Windhoek High School also celebrated with victories against Edugate Academy (41 – 31) and Otjiwarongo Secondary School( 44 – 21). The final play-offs are slated for Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8.
