RUNDU – ‘Dedication’ by M-Gee has been on repeat in many cuca shops, shebeens and taxis in Rundu since its release last November.

The catchy rhymester has since put visuals together for the track, and will premiere the video tomorrow at the Kavango River Lodge.

M-Gee told VIBEZ! that visuals are necessary in this world, where social media holds advantages for artists.

He said ‘Dedication’ does not only overwhelm his fans with love, but has a special place in his heart as it is a dedication to mothers and fathers who play an important role in the upbringing and education of their children.

“This is a special song that came last in the making of my current album ‘Ndjikiti’. It’s special because it’s based on reality about the life I’m living, and the life that so many people are living. I’m a father now who was once a child. I learned a lot from my parents and sitting around the fire
with the family,” he shared.

The ‘Ndjikiti’ album was released last November, and features 19 tracks with hit songs like ‘Kumorora’, ‘Kumbie’ and ‘Psalm23’ which also have visuals. “I also worked with Young T on a jam under the title ‘Omulaule’, and worked with DJ Vuyo on a classic love song titled ‘Kulira’,” he noted.

In his latest video, the young artist outlines the importance of parents educating their children about life values and how to survive the hardships of life. “Whilst sharing stories around the fire at the village, my parents made it a priority for us to understand what it really takes to survive the challenges of eparu (life). They demonstrated survival mode through hard work by exposing every one of us to physical work and mental strengthening moments,” he continued. “I also highlighted the strength of family unity. I mean, holding on firmly to the true families out there, get to know them well, understand them to the core. Don’t hate family based on what you heard from people outside; family is very important.”   On ‘Dedication’, the artist furthermore speaks about the power of prayer and connecting with God, saying God is there throughout, is the Guiding light, and
can be called upon any time.

“There is more to be discussed at the premiere. I thus urge my fans and all music lovers to turn up. Some shows are lessons, not just music and jiving. Come with your parents, and let’s dedicate this song to them together.”
