One of Namibia’s most exciting young boxers Sakaria ‘Desert Storm’ Lukas will headline next month’s Champions in Action Part 7 Boxing Bonanza.

Organised by MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing & Fitness Academy, the Champions in Action Part 7 bonanza is scheduled for October 8 at Windhoek Country Club.

The Namibian is still undefeated with an impeccable record of 17 wins from 17 fights and will defend his WBO Africa Interim Featherweight title against Tanzania’s Mohamed Kamburuta.

His opponent comes into the fight undefeated with 11 fights. Lukas is now rated number 9 on the WBO world ratings and a win is crucial to improve his ratings before the annual WBO Convention scheduled for October in Puerto Rico.

In the undercard bouts, Walter ‘The Executioner’ Kautondokwa, also known as the ‘knockout specialist’ will step into the ring with Chimwemwe Chiotcha from Tanzania. Walter remains undefeated with 12 fights and 11 straight knockouts. His opponent comes in with 16 fights, 13 wins and 3 losses.

“Walter is currently rated number 15 in the WBO Middleweight ratings and his future remains bright. He is one of the hardest puncher in the world and he will go far, but we need to create opportunities for him by improving his world rating and that is why this fight is important,” said promoter Nestor Nestor.

The main supporting bout will see the current WBO International Junior Flyweight champion, Japhet Uutoni take on Twalib Tuwa from Tanzania.

Uutoni captured the WBO International title under tough circumstances in the Limpopo Province, South Africa not so long ago and will be putting that title on the line when he faces Tuwa. Uutoni is now rated number 7 in the WBO world ratings.

Tickets for the fight are available at all Computickets outlets and at the MTC Sunshine Boxing office. VIP tables sell for N$10 000 and general tickets sell for N$200 each.
