OKAHANDJA – This year is proving to be a difficult season for local anglers to catch a limit, as once again, anglers failed to catch the limit of five fish in the 4th Bank Windhoek Namibian Bass Angling Association (NBAA) competition at the Von Bach Dam last weekend.

Nevertheless, Reinhard Laggner walked away the deserved winner of the day, while the biggest bass was caught by Jandre Engelbrecht, weighing a decent 2.87kg. In the ladies category, Sonita Pienaar, was again the only lady to catch a bass.

At the same event, winners of the previous competition received awards with Sonita Pienaar walking away with two gold medals, one in the ladies division and another in the senior category. 

The Angler of the year (AOY) log standings continuous to be a closely contested affair with several anglers in the hunt for top spot.
