WINDHOEK-One of the Namibian multi-genre singer, Dixon, has finally dropped his 18-track third album titled, Strong.

Dixon’s Manager, known as Danny, says the album is titled Strong simply because there are a lot of barriers in the music industry as well as in life generally, which one really needs to be strong to overcome and keep going. The album features artists such as Chipolopolo on the song Come Back on which Dixon is asking his lover to give him her heart to prove how much she loves him. Kanibala features on the song Strong, which is also the title of the album. The song is also about relationships that everyday are through thick and thin. The legend Ou Axue features on the song My Star.  Jaliza features on the song My phone, which basically talks about the secrecy of the phone between two people in a relationship.

In the opening track on the album, Forbidden Love, Dixon sings about two people in love but who can’t be together. Praise his name, is a jazzy gospel song and one of the closest song to his heart. He sings more about the Almighty God being the light in the darkest period. Ti xun, has already become one of the favourite songs on the album and appreciated by lots of people, giving positive feedback on social networks. On the album there is a surprise song titled Owambo Girl on which Dixon sings in Oshiwambo, Damara and English, that he is looking for his sweetheart up north in Owamboland. Kaise-Kaise’, is a traditional house song, a lot of Namibian will relate to the drum pattern while Valentin is a Kizomba song with a bit of Latino flavour on which Dixon is asking the lady to be his Valentine’s partner. The song is complimented by a video done by Ogopa Butterfly Entertainment and is due to be release during the Valentines week.

Dixon says the different between his previous albums and recent one is that the new album is more mature mastered by a professional Engineer in South Africa, Burton John Reid. Therefore the sound quality of the overall album is way better than the previous two.

The Strong album is well-balanced with a bit of RnB, Ma /gaisa, House, Kizomba, Jazz and Traditional music.
