Dundee Precious Metal’s Tsumeb invested N$12 250 to purchase apples for its entire workforce in support of the Bank Windhoek Cancer Project.

According to Alina Garises, Dundee’s communications superintendent, the aim was to spark a nationwide network of support and nationhood among people and companies.

Calvin Ilukena, the health and safety officer who received the apples, stressed that “with a few gestures of kindness we can build a Namibia centred on empowering, educating and understanding matters affecting all its citizens”.

Kesia Kariko, chemical engineer, said that by giving support more and more people affected by cancer will find comfort in knowing that they are not facing the disease alone.
