ECN announces latest election results

ECN announces latest election results

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) on Sunday evening announced additional results for the 2024 Presidential and National Assembly elections.

During a media briefing, ECN chairperson Elsie Nghikembua said the update brings the total number of constituencies finalised to 32 out of the total 121 constituencies for both elections.

She commended Namibians for their patience and peaceful conduct throughout the electoral process, urging candidate agents and political parties to verify the released results against their own records from polling stations and collation centres.

She added that to facilitate this process, the ECN has provided computers at the Central Election Results Centre (CERC) in Windhoek for use by representatives of all 21 contesting political parties.

“We urge you to make full use of these facilities,” she said.

She reiterated the ECN’s commitment to transparency and accuracy as the counting process progresses.
