By Frederick Philander WINDHOEK The ninth annual Namibia Stock Exchange Investment Challenge was last week launched to promote awareness and understanding of financial markets among the youth. This year 20 Namibian government schools selected from a record number of entries from 102 are involved in the educational project. According to Loide Nakanduungile, participating school teams of four will each receive a nominal amount of N$200 000 to trade with – buying and selling shares listed on the Namibian Stock Exchange. Participating groups are allocated a dedicated broker with whom they can consult, and daily price listings will be provided to each group. Winning teams will receive prize monies for their efforts made possible by local businesses.
