OKAKARARA – The Erari-Junction Netball Club, established two years ago as an initiative to keep women from any age groups fit by engaging in a sporting discipline that is not usually recognised as significant in Namibia.
However, the club is determined to partake and play with their hearts and souls, simply for the love of the game. Some of the individuals in the club are old campaigners who started playing netball in rural areas but gradually developed their skills to the extent that carved themselves opportunities to represent Namibia at national level.
Erari-Junction Netball Club boasts an impressive record that includes victories in the late Kafu Katjimune Cup in December last year where their leading goal poacher Brenda Kariazu, walked away with the top goal scorer award after the tourney. The club also clinched the Lee Shivolo Tournament earlier this month.
