WINDHOEK – As far as Brave Warriors coach Ricardo Mannetti is concerned, all the intensive preparations and reconditioning the players have undergone in the past few weeks will be meaningless if the entire nation does not rally behind the lads, when Namibia confronts Congo Brazzaville in the first leg of their 2015 CAF Nations Cup qualifier at the Sam Nujoma Stadium tomorrow at 16h00.

Mannetti says the technical team and all the players have wrapped up their preparations and are ready to do their part in tomorrow’s match, their execution on match day all depends on the support they get from local fans. “I’m calling on all our supporters to come out and rally behind the team. Our boys are ready and they know what to do tomorrow, but all we need is the support of all our fans, if we are to deliver the desired results,” said Mannetti. Meanwhile, Warriors stalwart defender Willem Mwedihanga also joined coach Mannetti, saying the supporters have a great role to play in determining Namibia’s destiny, heading to next year’s Nations Cup, while the hard work and dedication they put into tomorrow’s match will influence the final result. “It has been a very long week for us as players. Our coaches have worked hard on various tactics that we need to execute on match day and the players are responding very well to this call. We have agreed as players that come tomorrow, we must get a victory because we need it and our supporters deserve it as well,” says Mwedihanga.

“We have the home support and home advantage and whatever happens in the first leg can influence what can happen in the 2nd leg, so it’s very vital to take advantage of being at home first and make things tough for the opponent and it all starts tomorrow.” Tickets are selling for N$40 at Soccer House and at all Computicket outlets at Shoprite and Checkers stores countrywide. – Additional information: nfa.org.na
