A 39-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly raped his 15-year-old biological daughter around 20h00 on Friday at Onamambili village in the Oshana region.

Oshana police spokesperson, inspector Thomas Aiyambo, said the suspect found his daughter escorting her two cousins home.

The suspect allegedly told the victim to go with him to collect his phone at a certain house, but then took the victim into the bushes, undressed her and raped her.

Aiyambo said the victim reported the incident to her aunt, who alerted the police, before the victim was taken to hospital.

Police investigations continue.
