Female crook arrested

Home Crime and Courts Female crook arrested

WINDHOEK – A woman was arrested last week for conning a person out of N$1000. Constable Cillie Auala, from the City Police’s Public and Community Relations informed New Era that a woman posted on Facebook that she was looking for a room to rent. A man then allegedly replied that there was a room available in Dorado Park.

The woman was provided with directions and went to look at the room. The man allegedly informed the woman that his female colleague would provide her with a key, which she eventually received after paying N$1000. But it turned out that it was the wrong key, because the woman could not open the room. “City Police officials posed as being interested in buying the house and arrested the woman,” Auala said.
