WINDHOEK – FNB Namibia has announced that its Senior Manager for Research and Development Daniel Motinga is retiring after spending nearly seven years at FNB Namibia Holdings.

Motinga said: “For a number of years I have been hinting that I want to retire to the cattle post. Of course, I shall continue to be associated with the FNB brand through my interaction as an Advisory Board member to RMB Namibia – a subsidiary of the FNB Group. I will also continue to render services to FNB as a consultant.” Motinga who is a stud Boer goat farmer will take up farming on a full time basis.

As part of FNB’s succession plan, preparations for Motinga’s departure started a few years ago where Namene Kalili has been the understudy of the Senior Manger R&D and will now take over from Motinga, effective 1 October 2014.

Kalili has been the Manager of Research and Competitor Intelligence at FNB for the past six years.

Says Kalili: “FNB has been assisting me in my preparation for this challenge for the last few years and finally the time has come to step up to the plate.”

Head of Marketing and Communication Dixon Norval stressed that the FNB Group appreciates the tremendous contribution made by Motinga and wishes to thank him for his loyal and dedicated service to FNB Namibia, its staff and clients and is looking forward to continue working with him in his new capacity as he will continue to serve the FNB Group. “We wish Daniel only the best in all his future farming endeavours.”
