The Athletic Club Football Academy will host its annual tournament from Friday to Sunday on its field in Pioneerspark.

With 12 clubs expected to participate, the tournament promises to be a platform for young footballers to showcase their skills, sportsmanship and passion for football as they face off in a series of matches.

“The youth football fraternity have answered our call to come out and celebrate in competitive games this weekend and end the year playing the game that we all enjoy; the glue that unites us all no matter what club or school,” said Ricky Aveira, Athletic Football Club Academy (ACFA) head coach.

The first games will kick off at 15h00 on Friday afternoon, with the youngest footballers the U/7s.

The U/15 and U/17 games will be played at the Ramblers field, while all the other games will be played on home ground at ACFA.

ACFA will have matches running along with
a kiddies’ entertainment area and food and beverages will be on sale.

There will be a prize-giving ceremony to award the performing teams after the tournament on Sunday.
