WINDHOEK – After a two-year absence, the Aixaro Windhoek Golf Club Championship made its return to the golfing calendar in Windhoek last weekend.
Altogether 52 golfers teed off in hot and windy conditions but as always, there could only be one winner. With four shots adrift after 36 holes, young Graeme Fransman dished up a birdie feast on the final five holes to clinch the coveted title. In the ladies division, Celonika Robinson was crowned the champion.
Andre Visser, from Aixaro’ vehicle tracking franchise, D2, confirmed during the prize giving ceremony that his company will most certainly sponsor next year’s event also. The final nett and gross results are as follows:
