On Monday, Minister of Agriculture, Water and Forestry John Mutorwa handed over eight new refrigerated trucks to Agro Marketing and Trade Agency (AMTA). The trucks are to be used to address logistic challenges in transporting agricultural produce from the production areas to the markets as well as assisting in transporting fresh produce and grain from farmers and collection centres to the Fresh Produce Hubs and silos. The vehicles came in different sizes – two 34 tonnes, two 14 tonnes and four 16-tonnes.
