The Namibian Golden Oldies Football Club played to a commanding 10-2 victory against the Charles Hill Veterans in a friendly match.
Club chairman John Ramaphutla announced that the team is preparing to host a return leg in October. However, he noted that financial support is urgently needed to make the event a reality.
“We are actively looking for sponsors to help us host our counterparts and offer them the same warm hospitality we received during our visit,” he said.
To date, the Golden Oldies have been funding their activities out of their own pockets, driven by dedication rather than resources.
Now, they are calling on businesses, organisations and individuals to assist in keeping the spirit of veteran football alive and thriving.
Those interested in sponsoring or supporting the upcoming event are encouraged to get in touch with the club’s organiser at 081 334 429 5. -lmupetami@nepc.com.na
