Education
She holds a diploma in public administration: specializing in agriculture from the United Nations Institute for Namibia (UNIN) in Lusaka (1978-1983), she holds another diploma in teaching from the National Institute for Public Administration in Lusaka (1983-1985).
Career
She is a non-executive director on the board of Namibia Brewery Limited (NBL) & Olfitra, she is also the deputy secretary general, central committee and Political Bureau member of the ruling Swapo party. She served as a former Governor of the Omaheke region between 2001 to 2012. A former board member of the National Heritage Council of Namibia and Seaflower Fishcor.
Her previous roles also include: representative of the Governors Trust Fund; president of the Association of Regional Councils of Namibia (2005-2011); Gobabis Constituency councilor; Swapo Party Women’s Council Central Committee member; Agriculture Extension Technician; acting Manager at Ben Hun Rural Development Centre; Swapo Party Regional Coordinator; Omaheke Regional Control Officer for National Census and a former teacher in Zambia and Angola.
